How many letters or characters can I use in creating what my banner will say...
We recommend using no more than 20 "pieces" (Letters, Characters & dividers) for your banner so that it is not too heavy and will hang well. If you are doing a silk flower banner, you can use up to 20 letters and characters along with the silk flowers.

Each "card" in your banner is 7.5" whether it is a letter, character or photo. Multiply however many "cards" your banner has by 7.5 and then divide by 12 and you will know how many feet your banner will be. For Teddy Bear dividers add 7.25" and for daisies add 4" for each one you are using in your banner.

Using "End Notes to get additional information or text onto your custom banner...
Set To Celebrate has created a way to add a real personal touch to your banner with what we call an "End Note" - a little note that overlays one of the letters or characters in you banner (usually over an exclamation point at the end). The note can be as simple as "Congratulations Susan" or as detailed as "Wishing you a fast and easy delivery!" As an example, if you had a baby shower banner that said "Oh-Boy!", over the exclamation point we could write "David & Susan's little boy is coming!" End notes can be up to 40 characters.

Sending photos for your banner...
You should get an e-mail withing an hour of placing your banner order with all the information you need. However, if you do not, send your photos to "photobanner@gmail.com".

Photos should be no less than 300K and no larger than 2MB, and should be sent as JPEGs (JPEG file format). Cell phone photos, even iPhone photos do not make good banner images.

You can send color or black and white - whatever you prefer, however, it generally looks best if all the photos are one or the other. Our designers will crop the image for the best possible presentation in the banner. However, we do not provide proofs of the banner or photos before printing.

Choosing photos for your banner...
You should choose photos that have good color and are not blurry. They should be at least 300K. If you are using more than one photo in your banner, try to choose photos that are very different; different activities, different facial expressions, photos of just the guest of honor along with photos with friends and family. Your photos will be cropped for the greatest impact. You don't want pictures where the person is very small with a lot of background. The best banner photos are ones that crop in as close as possible to the faces of the people in the image. Generally, we try not to show more than the upper torso for the greatest impact. You can send one alternate for each photo in your banner, however, we will make the decision which photo is the best option. We do not send proofs of photos or banners.

How long will my banner be?...
Each "card" in your banner is 7.5" whether it is a letter, character or photo. Multiply however many "cards" your banner has by 7.5 and then divide by 12 and you will know how many feet your banner will be. For Teddy Bear dividers add 7.25" for each one you are using in your banner.

Different ways to hang your banner...
You banner comes with "glue dots" attached to the back of some of your banner pieces. Glue dots will not harm most painted or wallpapered walls and are easily removed by carefully rolling them under your finger until they come away from the wall. Glue dots do not adhere well to glass. Double-sided tape works best on glass & mirror. You can also tie strings to the end banner pieces.
